Claire Pettibone Kristene Party unclassified dresses

I purchased this gown at Kleinfeld the summer of 2013. I picked it out with my mother, my sister, and two aunts, who all came down to NYC from Maine specifically for dress shopping. I completely fell in love with this dress. Of course, it was out of my price range, but we somehow made it work. At the wedding, everyone thought the dress was vintage -- its champagne and warm hue, and the lace, gives off an old-fashioned feel. It is out of the box -- in the sense that it is not your typical poofy wedding gown -- and yet it is elegant, with its long train (which is easily bustled), and fine detail work; it is obviously nothing less than a wedding gown. You slide it on, and it instantly makes you feel beautiful, like a bride. On a side note: this dress is so comfortable -- it feels like wearing a silky nightgown. No boning, one side zipper. Easy, practical, stunning.
