I bought Lalique from Kelly’s Closet in Atlanta, GA before I even had a wedding date! It is so incredibly lovely. This particular dress is also the LAST Lalique ever made! It is brand-new, has not been tailored, and I’ve only put it on one time since it arrived from Claire’s studio. The fit is strapless, fitted with a bubble-hem and slight train–I was going to have a French bustle added, which looked really pretty with the easy-going style of the dress. There is a typical Claire-style flower on the back to which a train attaches (this is removable). The material is an ivory muslin cotton, covered with and ethereal tulle embroidered from bust to mid-thigh with gorgeous flowers in shades of cream, pink, and green. I love this dress, and you will too. It fits like a dream–I never had alteration done because I didn’t need any! I wear street size 4-6. The only addition I wanted was a bustier to help add some structure. There is no other dress like a Claire dress, and Lalique is one of her best ever. PLEASE NOTE: From Claire's website, her dresses are not made to be let out--but can be taken in. It appears there is just shy of an inch of extra muslin in the lining on each side, but you'd have to consult your tailor to decide if they could let it out or not! Thanks!
