I purchased this dress in October 2016 for my New Years Eve wedding. The dress is in perfect shape but will be professionally dry cleaned and preserved once the purchase is made. The lace is a soft ivory and the lining is ecru. The lace is absolutely breathtaking and extremely well made (not your typical David's Bridal dress). I am 5'6" and weigh 135 #'s with little alterations to the neck, shoulders, bust and waist. I did add padded cups which can easily be removed if you prefer to utilize a different bra option. Due to it's sheerness in the front and back, you would have to use tape or a strapless/backless bra. I was not fond of train option which tied it with two ribbons on each side of it. The designer was able to customize my train by taking an applique from the top of another train and attaching the train to it. The train has eye hooks which attach to the dress making it easy to remove and put on. As far as shoes, I was able to wear flats to walk in sand and switched over to my heels for the reception which are about three inches which allowed them to peak out. There is a zipper that goes up to the waist and the buttons are attached with eye hooks. One final detail is that there is a small button on wrist of the sleeves so you can leave it open or closed.
On a side note, I had been in search of an elegant dress with tasteful black accents. After searching long and hard, I found my dress at a local boutique, The Dress Theory, here in San Diego. I knew this was the dress for me as soon as I laid my eyes on it. I tried it on and knew right away it was the one. I declined to try other dresses on and what was special, I was the only one that purchased that dress once it became part of their inventory. This lace long sleeved stunner features an elaborate scalloped edge cameo floral lace bodice and lace skirt. The gown comes with a jeweled belt which can be worn alone, or double tied to our detachable tulle train (***note that I changed the style of train). The gown itself can be ordered with Ivory lace lined in either Ivory or Ecru satin, and the coordinating belt and train can be ordered in Ivory or Black. The lace covered buttons will be coordinated to match ether the black or ivory details you select.
